Petworthpalooza music show at Celebrate Petworth

Taylor Ferrell performs with the Treads at Petworthpalooza

The Petworthpalooza show at the 2017 Celebrate Petworth Festival was a big success -- hundreds came out to enjoy free music from local area musicians, $5 beer and the pleasure of hanging out with their neighbors. So we're doing it again!

Also check out these great events:

Located in the gravel lot next to Capital Hydroponics (enter from the alley next to Petworth Citizen and the Petworth mural off of Upshur Street). Here's a look at the musicians who will perform. Big thanks to Andrew Dana and Chris Brady from Timber Pizza for their help with the permits, and to Capitol Cider House for helping out at the event. Cider House owner Jared Fackrell will be on hand at the Palooza serving draft beer and cider!

The Petworthpalooza is sponsored by Nest DC real estate.

Show starts at 1pm on September 8th during the Celebrate Petworth Festival

(If it rains, the Palooza will be held inside 810 Upshur Street NW.)

The schedule and band list:

AARON MAISLER

Aaron Maisler takes a highly independent approach to his music. Best described as an indie pop musician, he uses his knowledge of guitars and musical devices to create songs that can range from downbeat and bluesy to upbeat with a synthy edge. Aaron's music flows from his experiences in life as he traveled the world, finally settling in Florida, where he became a working musician. He soon found himself wondering what life was like elsewhere, not just in the US, but around the world. So he decided to leave and ended up teaching English in Yatsushiro, Japan. He quickly became known as a musician and wound up becoming one of the go-to artists for all of the city’s festivals, including the Yatsushiro Firework Festival, which had an attendance of around 100,000 people.
